Doc Tank - an intensive three days long workshop focused on documentary projects with transmedia and social engagement potential from all over the world, but preferably from Central and Eastern Europe.
Doc Tank is a development lab for transmedia and socially engaged documentary projects, which offers consultation and guidance on project's storytelling techniques, on designing the campaign strategy or recommends solutions for web and mobile apps. Doc Tank tutors and experts range from transmedia storytelling and production specialists, content management and distribution experts, crowdfunding and campaign strategists, etc.
Doc Tank will introduce up to seven transmedia projects/projects with social engagement campaign strategy, that can be presented on various media platforms. Filmmakers with projects selected for Doc Tank will attend intensive two day workshop with tutors and lectors and one day of one-on-one meetings with industry professionals selected individually based on specific needs of each project.
Since the 2016 Doc Tank started cooperation with id w | interactive documentary workshop (CH) and IF! Lab (BE), which aims to offer exchange of knowledge and experience between transmedia professionals and workshop participants. Thanks to this collaboration the id w | interactive documentary workshop Award for one of the Doc Tank’s projects will be handed over. The winning project(s) will receive invitation to attend the next edition of the id w | interactive documentary workshop in Nyon and the project holder (or 1 team member) will be awarded with a full scholarship, covering tuition fees, subsistence and travel expenses. One selected project from IF! Lab will be presented at Doc Tank.
Inseparable part of Doc Tank is the public programme panels focused on new ways of storytelling, new technologies, transmedia, campaigns, crowdfunding, marketing strategies, international PR, VoD and new ways of distribution.
