East Doc Platform Awards boost support for documentary projects from Central and Eastern Europe
March 3 – 9, 2018, the Institute of Documentary Film hosts the East Doc Platform, the largest event for the co-production, funding and distribution of documentary projects in CEE. The awards for the best projects are worth a total of EUR 35,000.

The Institute of Documentary Film co-organizes the industry section at the Ji.hlava IDFF. For the ninth time, the Silver Eye Awards were presented in three categories to the best documentary films in the East Silver Market.

Silver Eye Award for best feature documentary goes to the Austrian film Sand and Blood
The best feature documentary of the East Silver Market was announced at the closing ceremony of the Ji.hlava IDFF. Out of a slate of outstanding films from Central and Eastern Europe, the jury awarded the Austrian documentary Sand and Blood.

Institute of Documentary Film regularly organizes the East Silver Market within the Ji.hlava IDFF, presenting a selection of the new documentaries from the CEE region. The results of the short and mid-length category were announced on October 27.
