ELBE DOCK 2019 revealed the programme
International Documentary Film Festival ELBE DOCK will be taking place May 28th to June 2nd in Ústí nad Labem. For the first time it will award the best Central European debut.

Greta Stocklassa: I feel an obligation to the protagonists

Animated Documentary – A Hundred Years Old and Still Alive
Czech animated documentary is represented by Diana Cam Van Nguyen, whose short film Apart will compete at the prestigious Rotterdam festival. This year’s Anifilm, the International Festival of Animated Film will also focus on this unusual film format.

22 film projects from 14 countries will be presented at the ninth edition of When East Meets West, the Italian co-production forum taking place on January 20-22, 2019 in the frame of the Trieste Film Festival.

From miner to programmer: “I’ve overcome my own prejudice,” says Jindřich Andrš
The Last Shift of Thomas Hisem is a short documentary by Jindřich Andrš about eponymous worker’s last day of work before a coal mine is shut down for good. The film was recognized by the jury at the Jihlava IDFF for its unique and authentic atmosphere.
