The legendary BBC documentry series gets a Czech-style makeover in feature length format. The Czech countryside may not boast the crocodiles of the Zambezi or the ring-tailed lemurs of Madagascar, but within its humble land-locked borders, it does host a variety of fascinating creatures. Marián Polák's scintilating Wilder Than Wilderness (produced by Radim Procházka) captures the weird and wonderful goings on of a number of central European animals and the strange habitats they choose to nestle in. While it admittedly may lack the soothing British commentary of Sir David Attenborough, some of the Planet Earth-style cinematography is stunning.
