The International Film Festival La Rochelle will be held from June 30 until July 9 in France. The organizers of the 45th edition attract visitors’ attention by several retrospectives of world-known filmmakers such as Andrei Tarkovski, Alfred Hitchcock and Michael Cacoyannis, as well as with a selection of contemporary film production from the whole world.
East Silver Caravan has been working with the festival for the first time this year and the Slovak documentary 5 October by Martin Kollar was selected into the category "Ici et Ailleurs". As part of the accompanying program, an exhibition of film posters will take place. The poster of the film 5 October will be presented alongside original posters from Alfred Hitchcock films. The documentary 5 October is also included in the project KineDok and thus screened across 8 countries at alternative venues during the whole year of 2017.
