The Evening of Czech documentaries, held annually in Světozor Cinema in September, has already built a significant fan base among the film industry professionals, media and interested public. Following its success, the Institute of documentary film has decided to organize an extra event dedicated to Czech documentary filmmakers also within its East Doc Platform programme. Five to six upcoming documentaries will get an opportunity to be presented to an audience of the invited representatives of prestigious film festivals (FID Marseille, Dok Leipzig, Nordisk Panorama, IFF Rotterdam, IFF Sarajevo, Toronto IFF) and to the wide public.

The creative teams will introduce their documentary projects to the invited international film professionals - festival representatives, distributors, and sales agents. The aim of the panel is to enable the Czech producers to present and discuss their upcoming films in terms of international distribution and international festival release in person. The event will be held in English and will be moderated by producer Simone Baumann (Saxonia Entertainment, Germany).
The presentations will be followed by the meetings of the filmmakers with the festival representatives and sales agents. After the meeting, all professionals will be invited to an informal networking dinner with Czech producers and filmmakers.
