Johana co-operates with official theatre scene since 2000, she appears in the theatre as an actress, an improviser, a writer and a musician. In 2007 she was awarded as a Discovery of the year at the festival Next Wave. She regularly collaborates with Czech Radio as a writer and a director of radio plays and audio-musical compositions. In 2009 Johana started her studies at FAMU. During her studies she made several short films: Hi, I'm doing fine won several awards: Best documentary - IFF Fresh Film Fest 2014, Mise en scene - IFF Poitiers in France and Best documentary - IFF FIDÉ 2014 in Paris. In 2016 she received Special jury award for her short film Process at Febiofest SK and Best film and director awards at FAMUFEST for her last short fiction film Black Cake.
