Polish film critic, journalist and programmer curating various festivals and cultural events in Poland. His work has appeared in numerous magazines (‘Kino’, ‘Film’, ‘Newsweek’, ‘Images’), as well as in several books on film, art and culture. Speaker at University of Wroclaw, member of European Film Academy, International Federation of Film Critics FIPRESCI, International Federation of Film Societies FICC, Wroclaw Film Foundation, and Dante Alighieri Association.
He studied film studies at the University of Lodz and also on scholarships at Palacký University in Olomouc, Masaryk University in Brno and Charles University in Prague. His doctoral thesis was devoted to post-war Czech film comedy. He worked with a number of Polish and Czech film festivals, then as a project manager and one of the curators of DAFilms. He is currently the programme director of the Juniorfest IFF. He has also worked in the field of film as a journalist (Gazeta Wyborcza) and as an editor of the Polish academic monographs.
Born in Wadowice, Poland in 1985, he studied film, cinematography and screenwriting and also works as a cinematographer and director. W Ukrainie is his first feature-length work as a director.
