The discussion on gender equality in audio-visual industry has been open for a while, and it is now more important than ever to discuss the fair conditions for everyone. The question of quotas and balanced programmes became gathering positive praise, as well as fierce resistance. Let’s face some evident data and see the positive outcome such initiatives bring and how the equality programmes could be successfully integrated in film festival programming, as well as film fund’s policies on larger scale.
