Listen to the new part of True Story podcast series. In this invigorating interview, Nicole J. Adelman talks to Pavla Klimešová, one of the producers of the film Caught in the Net - a powerful, important and necessary film for all to watch in our times. Questions of morality, education and empathy are raised while we all look to our complicitness in how we can better protect our children.

The film, directed by Barbora Chalupová and Vít Klusák, was pitched at East Doc Forum 2019 and had the World Premiere at CPH:DOX 2020. In Czech cinemas, the film reached a record number of more than 400 000 viewers.

The film opens the hitherto taboo topic of online child abuse. Statistics show that the problem is becoming bigger with each passing day. Unfortunately, awareness remains very low. The main narrative line of the film follows a radical psychosocial experiment, through which we show what the children aged 10-14 years face in the virtual space. The experiment comes out of reality and several months of research.
