14 Barriers

This is a movie about Marijan Almasi, a war veteran invalid who strives to fulfill his wish to climb to the top of the hill overseeing the Shrine of Our Lady of Aljmas, taking a steep concrete path up there. The path represents the Way of the Cross with 14 marked stations where pilgrims can rest on their way towards the big cross on the top. For Marijan the steep hill represents a difficult, an almost impossible, obstacle. But he is determined to reach its top in order to feel closer to God and raise awareness of the problems disabled people users often face. The movie follows Marijan's journey to the top.
