Me, Mеn and War

Directing: Beata Bubenec

Synopsis

This film covers 18 months of my life that I spent at first at the Maidan during Ukrainian Revolution, then – in Crimea during its annexation by the Russian Federation, and later – in Donbas when the war broke out. Even though I am a Russian citizen, and the film covers events in Ukraine, politics was the least of my concerns. This documentary is important to me as my personal history in the first place, since I lived through and witnessed all these events. This is a personal story of my own revolution and liberation, told against the well-known political background.
