Synopsis
In the year 1953, only eight years after the war, a group of Austrian film-makers decided to co-produce a film with Yugoslav authorities, their former enemies from World War II. In spite of many obstructions and misunderstandings from both sides, the film-team, led by producer Carl Szokoll and director Helmut Käutner, succeeded in finishing The Last Bridge and won Prix International at Cannes in 1954. The surviving participants of the crew evoke their memories about the production of The Last Bridge.
