Synopsis

Before the change of the regime in Eastern Europe it was quite common that different socialist state’s citizens married each other and settled in one of their home countries. This was no different with the distant Cuba, a lot of Hungarians moved there at that time.

Our film shows the recent changes of the Caribbean Island through the eye of three Hungarian ladies, living there from their early twenties.

Life was never easy in Cuba, but since the fall of the soviet block, it is even harder. Since 2012 there are reforms and a new way of opening. Our film examines these changes through the eyes of the Hungarian diaspora living in the Island. Our heroes. Iren, Agnes and Zsuzsa are gates to our past and the present of Cuba.
