Women and War

A 30-minute documentary film produced in Russian language by Latvian public service broadcaster Rus.lsm, to mark the 1st Anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The documentary lays bare the devastating impact of the war, as experienced by a handful of Ukrainian women whose husbands were killed by Russia’s military actions, and yet who have vowed to stay in their homeland. These are the stories of women, wives, Mothers and families, changed forever when their husbands paid the ultimate price of Russian aggression. The women share how are they adapting to the devastation of the world around them, and their hopes and fears for the future.
