Synopsis
The film "Heroes for a Semester" tells the story of the heroic work of a couple of students from the North Western University of Chicago to free an innocently convicted person - and the incredible consequences of having a legal system, that puts people in jail, who don't belong there. Marcus is charged for murder and sent to prison for 46 years. He has only one chance left to get out. This is his last appeal. The students are trying to find evidence for Marcus' innocence. The search is frustrating and dangerous. The film documents injustice and the greatness and abysmal depths of human beings in the course of the criminal investigations in an actual case.
