Synopsis
"Poor Land" shows the most ecologically destroyed region of Poland, with the highest level of unemployment. In the illegal coalmines of Walbrzych over 5000 unemployed workers mine the coal. Each year a dozen or so lose their lives. The exhausting, dangerous work for several zlotys shows the truth of human condition and social system in Eastern Europe.
