The term refers to the mostly male members of a specific sub-culture, who have decided to have their penis and testicles removed. Norbert, the protagonist, reveals his body and soul to the camera to a level of detail which challenges the viewer’s perception of the physical in its diverse forms. „I see my subjects living in the same society I do. They practice other things I don’t, and maybe things I do in my life are not that extreme, but it’s just a different layer to an existence.“ J.Soldat
