Travelers

Darko is a citizen of Vienna who supports his family by driving a taxi.He came to Austria from Serbia in the mid-1990.He has depicted his gastarbeiter experiences,in his novel,he tried to use black humor to describe people who had gone to live far away from their homeland.They failed to adapt to the environment into which they'd settled.Based on this novel Darko has written and directed a monodrama.He performs in Serbian and Vienna restaurants and alternative theaters.Like most gastarbeiters,Darko lives in-between Serbia and Vienna.We follow him on one of these frequent travels to his homeland.This journey is interspersed with excerpts from monodrama.We meet people who are strangers in the country where they went to live and work,but in time they also become strangers in their own homeland
