Synopsis

On 28 September, 1973, two men claiming to be members of the Eagles of the Palestinian Revolution organization hijacked a passenger train on the Czechoslovak-Austrian border. There were Jewish emigres from Soviet Union on the train, who were taken hostage. This was a unique kind of a Palestinian commando attack, for it was planned to take place behind the Iron Curtain. The main political target was the Soviet Union, generally perceived as the biggest supporter of the anti-Zionist cause. The perpetrators clearly stated their intentions and goals, yet the public image of their action was to be shaped by others. This story of the manipulation of reality lies at the core of the film.
