Roma's Body

Cialo Romy

Directing: Joanna Slesicka

Synopsis

A story of a mature woman Roma, who continues a life of her tragically killed daughter. Roma’s daughter was a student at a ballet school, that dreamed about a dancing carrier. Everything was taken away by a tragic accident. After the daughter’s death, Roma decides to start learning how to dance. The film reveals the information about the accident with a planned delay and so the very role of dancing in Roma’s life is underestimated at the beginning. The film illustrates the longing for the lost child expressed through body and a therapeutic role of dance - the only existing link between the mother and the daughter.
