Synopsis
Tokon, a retired teacher from Kyrgyzstan, writes poetry during his spare time. Every summer his daughter Gulzat comes from Russia to help him out on the farm. This year's misfortunes make Tokon focus on his daughter's departure more than usually. With the dismissal of his assistant and the absence of his wife, his world slowly shrinks. Will it be possible, despite his old age, to remain a true Djigit in the eyes of the family? A compelling idea about the return to basic family values suddenly emerges. It is the hope for many Kyrgyz living abroad to return to their homeland.
