Taxi Drivers

“Taxi drivers” – here are three short stories about peoples, two of which are migrants. They make their living working at thousands of kilometers from home – in Russia and USA. The third one remained in Tajikistan and made up his mind to prove that one could be substantial & well off in his Motherland. Both Umed Rustamov (27 years old) and Rakhmat Khaidarov (57 years old) are search for a better life brought Umed to New York City. Rakhmat, a former businessman, found himself in Moscow. Tolib Bakhranov (43 years old), a professional driver, stayed at home in Dushanbe (Tajikistan). All three are taxi drivers now. The first one makes his buck in Manhattan, the second one makes rounds near the Kremlin and the third one drives passengers in Dushanbe, the capital city and its mountainous suburbs
