Synopsis
The film tells the story of a poetry group Lonely Runners, formed in 1963 and still active. More than anything, it is about the extraordinary friendship of its three members – Ivan Laucik, Peter Repka and Ivan Štrpka. Their personal history may be different: Peter Repka moved to Germany in the seventies, Ivan Laucik lived most of his life in the peaceful Liptovsky Mikulas and Ivan Strpka in Bratislava. Even though their meetings were rare and often difficult to realize, their friendship held strong despite all the obstacles. It survived all the brutal political changes and every personal struggle that occurred during their lives. Their work has been and still is considered one of the most important in the context of modern Slovak poetry.
