The film festival AL ESTE (AL ESTE DE LIMA), emerged in 2008 in the face of a significant lack of different and valuable content in the local film scene and the absence of independent festivals. After more than a decade, AL ESTE is the most solid alternative in Peru for access to current and artistically powerful cinema from all over the world, especially from Central and Eastern Europe.
