The Swiss Cultural Programme in the Western Balkans was run by Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council, upon mandate of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC.
In line with the Programme mandate, SCP closed down on June 30, 2013.
The Swiss Cultural Programme worked in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia and Serbia, with the overall goal to contribute to the promotion of democracy and freedom of expression, to conflict resolution and the respect of minorities through employment of cultural instruments and fostering of regional cooperation, thus facilitating the formation and preservation of independent and diversified cultural landscapes.
More on SCP work in the region, as well as achievements and lessons learnt, you can read in the 'Cultural Encounters' - the final report that can be downloaded from this website.
