Two Points Films was created in the United States by an American producer/director/sound mixer Lawrence Loewinger and a Polish director/cinematographer Michal Jaskulski for the purposes of making the film, Not for the Dead. The name Two Points Films comes from the company’s annimating idea: Telling stories, seen and told with one eye by filmmakers with different points of view, different origins, religion and age. Not for the Dead is a vivid example of the idea. It will present the story of a quietly heroic Polish man who has spent his life healing the wounds between Poles and Jews on the painful subject of their shared history. His extraordinary success in contemporary Poland in bringing to an end a bitter conflict exemplifies the goals of the filmmakers of how we resolve conflict and understand how history impacts our daily lives.
