About the Company

The Adam Mickiewicz Institute is a government cultural institution which aims to popularize Polish culture around the world and cooperate on cultural projects with other countries. The Institute (initially called the Centre for International Cultural Cooperation - Adam Mickiewicz Institute, or IAM) was founded in 2000. The Adam Mickiewicz Institute's regular activities include, in particular: developing and updating an integrated system of information on Polish culture, and disseminating that information; creating and collecting various kinds of information and promotional materials as well as making them available to interested persons and organizations; providing foreign cultural representatives, researchers, and specialists from various fields with materials and information on Polish culture; organizing study visits for foreign guests of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
