Mirona Radu was born on 12 November 1986 in Bucharest, Romania. She graduated the School of Film and Television, specialization Directing Film and TV at Andrei Blaier’s class and the Francisc Mraz School of Photography in 2009. Her short films have been screened in school film festivals all over the country and her photos have been exhibited both in Romania and abroad. Her well-known photography exhibition 24 Years in 24 Expressions of Solitude traveled n 2012 - 2014 in Russia, Ukraine, Moldavie, Italy, Turkey. Her short Ana was screened at Cannes Film Festival in 2013 in Short Film Corner Section, part of the programme Romanian Short Waves, at Beggining International Film Festival in Sankt Petersburg, Russia, Filmini Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria (nominated for Best Balkan Shortfilm).
