Studied journalism at the university of Leipzig. Commissioning Editor at ARTE department of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg since 2004. Experienced in international co productions, responsible for many award winning documentaries in the field of contemporary history, society and arts & culture. Before Dagmar Mielke worked for several other editorial offices, commissioning documentaries as well as news magazines. Beside that she worked herself an author and director for several TV formats.
