Libyan filmmaker and journalist based in Berlin with over a decade of experience in the media industry. In 2017, it was my first screenwriting experience, where I wrote and directed a short film (Ta3bir) about
freedom of expression. It was shown in Marseille, Milan, and Tunisia. In 2018, my film "Leptis Magna" was screened in Amsterdam and qualified for the playoffs in the Amsterdam InAir Festival. In the same year, I won third place in the Immigration Media Award, supervised by the European Union, for my film "Friend Bashir." In 2019, I received the Team Challenge Award in Journalism from the Thomson Foundation in London. I am currently working on my first feature documentary, "Omar's Story."
