Born in 1949, Prague. 1997 - Graduated from FAMU, Dept. of Documentary Film. As a director of Kratky film Praha, she shot documentary films (format 35 mm) for 12 years, currently cooperates with Czech TV. She deals with social issues and inter-personal relations, feminism, recent history. In 1994 she became the head of the Department of Documentary Films for eight years. She has made more than eighty films and received some thirty awards at Czech and international film festivals. The documentary film O cem sni zeny (What Women Dream About) was followed by three successful books of interviews. She is the chairperson of Spolecnost Bozeny Nemcove (The Society of Bozena Nemcova).
