Christoph Huebner was born in 1948 in Heidelberg, where he also studied Law. After moving to Munich to continue his Legal Studies, he enrolled in the Academy of Film and Television in 1971. In 1978 he moved to the Ruhr region and founded the RuhrFilmZentrum and Christoph Huebner Filmproduktion. He is active as a producer and director.
