In 1980 Zbigniew Waclaw Kowalewski graduated from the Polish National Film School in Lodz. Assistant director (1980); first professional film (1981) while a member of the TV, Film & Theatre Studio of the Youth. With four other professional partners, formed Film Studio WIR. (To the Inhabitants of the Jupiter!); 1984 - Z glowa, ale w oblokach; 1985 - Fortuna walka (Walek's Fortune); 2000 - Glosa o druku na linie (Notes about the Print on the Rope); 2001 Mniejsze zlo, wieksze zlo (Less Evil, More Evil); 2001 (Powrot do Kreuzberg Stadt); 2002 - Requiem dla orlow (Requiem for the Eagles); 2003 Spelniona misja (The Completed Mission); 2004 - Lotnicy (Airmen).
