Katarína is a visual artist, researcher, and organizer. She graduated from the Intermedia Department at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (Slovakia), where she also completed her doctoral studies. In her artistic and research practice, she focuses on documentary strategies in the visual arts. She has participated in several international interdisciplinary visual art and research projects, including Eastern Sugar, supported by the Creative Europe programme, and Woods: More-than-Human Curiosity, funded by the EEA Grants. She currently works as Programme Manager and Head of the Public Programmes Department at the Bratislava City Gallery and coordinates the Slovak partnership of the international documentary workshop dok.incubator under the Slovak Documentary Film Association.
