Katarína is a visual artist, researcher, and organizer. She graduated from the Intermedia department at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, where she is completing her doctoral studies. In her artistic and research practice, she focuses on reflecting documentary strategies in the visual arts. Katarína has organizationally participated in the implementation of several international interdisciplinary visual art and research projects. Examples include Eastern Sugar, supported by the Creative Europe program, and Woods: More-than-Human Curiosity, funded by the EEA Grants. At the IDF, Katarína communicates with the potential, current and former participants and tutors of Ex Oriente Film programme and East Doc Forum and takes care of coordination of these activities.
