Marko Simić

Born in 1978 in Belgrade where he finished secondary school, studied jazz music and learned the film basics at Kvadrat film school. In 1998, moved to Prague to study film and TV directing at FAMU, receiving his BcA in 2001 and a MgA in 2005. He has written, directed, shot and edited several short films, music videos, commercials and documentary films. In addition to making his own films, Marko was able to gain a wealth of experience thanks to a variety of jobs with several feature projects, such as The Brothers Grimm (dir. Terry Gilliam); The Expulsion from Paradise (dir. Věra Chytilová); Something Like Happiness (dir. Bohdan Sláma); Anne Frank; Napola; Hell Boy; Shanghai Knights, etc. Co-owner of Bread and Games Production, a production company based in Prague.
