Maja Classen was born in 1974 in Heidelberg, but grew up in Hamburg and has lived in Berlin since 2000. From 1995-1998 she studied American Culture and Literatur, Psychology, Ethnology and German Literature in Hamburg. From 1998-1999 she was assistent to Filmmaker William Farley and attendet different film and video classes in San Francisco. 1999-2000 internship at postproduction house in Hamburg. From 2000-2006 she studied directing at the Academy of Film and Television "Konrad Wolf" Potsdam-Babelsberg. Her first feature documentary "Feiern" was published on DVD by Intergroove. Her graduation film "Osdorf" was official participant at the 57th Berlin Film Festival and other festivals.
