Born in 1947 in Odessa, he studied filmmaking in the Moscow Collegefor Cinematography. Since 1992 he’s been working as a documentarydirector and cameraman in Moscow and Berlin for independent filmsas well as the tv (WDR, RTVI, DW, ARTE).
