I was born in 1977 close to Stuttgart and grew up the second eldest of 5 children in a Turkish working family. I finished two traineeships in the service industry one shortly after the other. I collaborated in the foundation of a socio-cultural center in Spain. After that I followed my actual dream – filmmaking and I began my studies in directing at the German film and TV academy in Berlin.
