Michael Truckenbrodt studied history. He was responsible for educational work at the historical site of the Reichsparteitagsgelände (Nazi party rally area) in Nuremberg and was head of educational services in the Jewish Museum of Franconia in Fürth. From 1999 till 2005, he has worked as an author and producer of museum media at the German Historical Museum in Berlin. He was responsible for content editing, technical design and project management. He produced several films for exhibitions. From 2001 to 2005 he worked as executive producer for Dipol-Film, Berlin. He managed the production of documentary films for the television channels Arte, ZDF and 3sat. In 2005 he founded – together with film-maker Kerstin Nickig – the production company time prints, Berlin. He is managerial associate and producer. Time prints produces documentary films for the cinema and television for the German and international markets. The main focus is based on historical documentaries, creative documentaries and international co-productions.
