Faten Hamama Film Festival is a festival Founded by Maggie Anwer to support, promote filmmakers all over the world and to honor special artists for their achievements.
Faten Hamama was an Egyptian legendary Actress, producer and she gave Maggie the approval to make this festival as they were friends. Faten used to follow every step and she recorded a message for the festival before she passed away and Maggie made a film with this message as a tribute, it was screened at Cannes, Rome, Nice, and various international film festivals.

We decided to make an award to honor the special filmmakers with the name of the legendary Omar El Sherif as he and Faten made together a lot of films, she was his only wife.
