Anja Salomonowitz developed a film language for her films that combines documentary film, feature film and thesis. In the process, real human experiences are condensed through artistic alienation. Her films have received international acclaim and achieved numerous film awards. She teaches artistic documentary film at universities (e.g. Aalto University Helsinki, Department of Film and Television, 2015 or University of Fine Arts Vienna, 2016) or at film festivals, (eg Documentary Academy in Jihlava, International Documentary Film Festival, 2018). Her last film is the poetical hybrid documentary about the artist Daniel Spoerri. Anja Salomonowitz is constantly working to develop her film language, currently in a political documentary about the FEMEN activist Inna Shevshenko.
