Martina Keller studied history and philosophy. Subsequently, she worked at various newspapers in Northern Germany. In 1989 she started to work as an editor for „öko test“ magazine. In 1994 she began to work as a freelance science journalist for print and radio. Since then she has written for several magazines like GEO, Brigitte, as well as for ARD German Public Service Broadcasting. Her specialty is medical journalism. In October 2008 her book „Cannibalised - The Human Corpse as Raw Material “ was published. Her work has won several journalism awards.Martina Keller has been researching illegal tissue trade for six years and written a book about it. She has very good contacts to the industry, doctors, and relatives of body donors in the European Union, Eastern Europe and the US.
