Currently Head of Programme at the London Short Film Festival (LSFF), Qila Gill is a film industry professional whose research interests lie within the frameworks of fragility, sensitivity, inclusivity, ethnicity, ethical discourse, and embodiment. Prior to her current position, Qila worked as Distribution Director at LUX and served on the selection committee for Sheffield Doc/Fest. She has also programmed for the London Film Festival (LFF) and Aesthetica Film Festival. She independently produces artist’ moving image and creative non-fiction. Her recent projects include work by Asmita Shrish, Onyeka Igwe, and Michelle Williams-Gamaker. Qila is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and a member of Brown Girls Doc Mafia and Programmers of Colour Collective.
