Mirta has graduated in Film and Theatre Production from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. For the past 16 years, she has been working as a producer and scriptwriter. She runs two production companies – Slavica Film and the NGO Metar60, through which she produced and co-produced one feature and many short and documentary films, screened and awarded at major festivals such as those in Telluride, Los Angeles, Tampere, Palm Springs, Sao Paolo, London, Glasgow, Odense, Dresden, Thessaloniki, Les Arc and Sofia. She has received professional training in film production, intellectual property and cultural management and is a member of three associations of film professionals (HDFD, HRUP, HDDU).
