Matěj Hrudička (1994) graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Screenwriting and Directing at the University of Tomas Bata in Zlín (TBU), where he’s currently studying the master’s program. During his studies, he created short films of diverse genres including a steampunk sci-fi The Isolator (2020). He directed commercial spots for LOBBY Zlín, the largest e-sport event in the Zlín region, and for the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at TBU. He co-directed a feature-length documentary movie The Prison of History about an infamous institution for political prisoners during the communist regime. Right now, he’s finishing The Minor Escape, a short coming-of-age road movie about two boys running away from home.
