Born in Warsaw. Graduated from the Warsaw University at the Polish Philology Department, from Screenplay Department at the Polish Film School in Lodz and from Film Directing Department at the Silesia University in Katowice. Her film credits include: Jane Sweet Jane, A Doggie, The Girl in the Poster (Dziewczyna z plakatu) and Like a Butterfly (Jak motyl). Her work has garnered awards such as the Silver Plaque at the Hugo Awards, SIGNIS Prize, EKOTOPFILM Jury Prize, Oczy Otwarte Special Jury Prize, Ava Studio Prize, Stockholm IFF Prize. Her work screened at the One World Festival, Documenta Madrid, Karlovy Vary IFF, Parnu FF, Chicago FF, etc.
