Evgeny Kalachikhin was born and grew up in Moscow, Russia. Since 2013 he is working and living in Berlin, Germany, where he graduated from the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, Potsdam with M.F.A in Editing with distinction. However, in Russia he graduated from the Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK), Moscow with the Dipl. in Direction and some years earlier the Moscow State University with Dipl. in Journalism.
