Svetlana Prokudina was born in Saratov. She worked at the Echo of Petersburg radio station, where she was a host of a news program and an author of feature stories, becoming a laureate of several journalist awards. In 2013 she graduated from the School of Documentary Cinema and Theater of Marina Razbezhkina and Mikhail Ugarov.
