Andreea Udrea

director, producer

Andreea Udrea is a DocNomads graduate and a queer documentary filmmaker from Romania. In 2017, while living in Slovenia, she debuted with her first short documentary, “Like the Mountain”, which was screened in several festivals across the country. In 2021 she was awarded a development fund by One World Romania Association for her first feature length documentary. Recently she graduated from DocNomads, a two-year Master’s Degree in Documentary Directing that takes place between three countries: Portugal, Hungary and Belgium. Her graduation project “The wind blows where it pleases” tells the story of Eszter Szabo, a Christian queer Hungarian woman trying to find love. Andreea sees documentary filmmaking as a way to deeply connect to herself, to the people around her and their environment.
